About ICWUC Greater Michigan Locals
The Greater Michigan Locals are a unified body of the International Chemical Workers Union Council (ICWUC), affiliated with the United Food and Chemical Workers (UFCW) union. We are committed to achieving workplace justice, securing fair wages and benefits, and ensuring a safe and equitable work environment for our members. Through the strength of collective action, we stand in solidarity to improve the lives of working families across the state.
Our three constituent locals—Local 70 (Muskegon), Local 132 (Grand Rapids), and Local 799 (Big Rapids)—serve approximately 350 members who are essential to servicing natural gas areas throughout most of Michigan, outside of the Detroit metropolitan area. Together, we form a powerful force dedicated to unwavering advocacy and negotiation, working to build a brighter future for all our members.
Our Misson
Greater Michigan Locals is a united front dedicated to protecting and advancing the rights, wages, and working conditions of our members at DTE Energy. We believe that strength lies in unity. By joining forces, we negotiate from a position of power, ensuring a safe, equitable, and secure future for all DTE Energy workers in Michigan. Our mission is to build on our history of solidarity and collective action to advocate for our members and ensure their voices are heard and respected.
